In just 200 years, our Aboriginal people population has changed from 100 percent to just 3 percent.

In this time, our blood has become "Mixed Blood" and the narrative has become, "what percentage Aboriginal are you?" or "are you a half cast?" Not only have we become mixed blood through force, a brutal and cruel history, a continued inferior status or a culture that is worthy of a laughing emoji on social media, we now are judged for our mixed blood, that we are somehow, less than.

For me, mixed blood brings with it, mixed stories, mixed histories, mixed cultures, mixed resilience, mixed empathy and understanding and most importantly, makes me uniquely me
