Weekly drama classes for teens

Join experienced drama teacher and actor Beth Champion in Term 2 for after school drama classes, tailor-made for teens!  Classes are suitable to all levels of acting experience.

Participants will learn to: 

  • Use your voice, be spontaneous, be authentic.
  • Boost confidence, concentration and imagination.
  • Tame nerves and anxiety.
  • Take action and meet your people!


Classes run for 8 weeks on Tuesday afternoons, commencing on 4th May. 

12-14 year olds:   4pm - 6pm
15-18 year olds:     6.15pm - 8.15pm 

These classes are presented by Blue Mountains Theatre. 

Beth Champion is a professional actor and has been working extensively in theatre, film, TV and voice-over for over 30 years.

Beth’s acting journey began as a teenager with The Powerhouse Youth Theatre where the stories of young people were highly valued and channelled into compelling group-devised shows.

Beth brings her dynamic energy and acting experience to the Blue Mountains community. She enjoys inspiring young people and adults, teaching new and experienced actors. Beth teaches students to devise, improvise, characterise and explore. Her teaching style is a fusion of many respected practitioner’s methods, including Meisner, offering a fresh and confident approach to drama classes.

Per participant $250.00 - Price is for the full 8 week term.
Age suitability For teens aged 12-18 years.
Group size These small group classes are capped at 15 participants.
Per participant if using Creative Kids voucher $150.00 - We accept the Creative Kids Voucher for this activity, valued at $100. This will reduce your fee to $150. See below for more details.

Please read through the below information before registering your child for this workshop.

For the safety and enjoyment of all, participants are expected to be able to follow reasonable directions and behave in a safe and respectful manner. 
What to bring 
A refillable bottle of water. 
Optional:  A packed snack.  Strictly no nuts please.

What to wear 
Comfortable clothes that allow free movement. 
Enclosed shoes such as sneakers. 

If your child is feeling unwell, they must not attend the workshop. 
In this instance, please call us as soon as possible to discuss your options.  

We accept Creative Kids vouchers 
We are a registered activity provider of the NSW Government's Creative Kids program, and you are able to use a Creative Kids Voucher ($100 value) towards the cost of this workshop.

If you wish to use your Creative Kids voucher, please select the ticket type 'USING CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHER' when registering, and be sure to complete the registration questionnaire which will request your child's name, date of birth and voucher number.
