Urthboy: Savour Every Moment Tour
With a career spanning 20 years as a songwriter, recording artists, live performer and collaborator, Urthboy returns to the Blue Mountains to celebrate his upcoming album, Savour.
Off the back of the release of his Savour [Prologue] EP, hip hop artist Urthboy is heading around the country for a headline tour to celebrate his upcoming album Savour. The Savour Every Moment Tour takes Urthboy to capital cities and regional areas across the country, featuring a live band that pays homage to the rich legacy of music he's built over time with classics like We Get Around and Long Loud Hours as well as more recent material off 2023's Savour.
Acclaimed for engaging storytelling and hooky melodies, Urthboy’s creative experimentation has evolved with every release working with artists such as Sampa the Great, Jimblah, Hermitude, Kira Puru, Jane Tyrrell and Bertie Blackman.
The Savour Every Moment Tour kicks off in March all the way through until May hitting towns such as Cairns, Adelaide, Perth, Fremantle Wollongong, Springwood and a heap more. Supporting across the entire tour is the electrifying Noongar rapper Dallas Woods as well as Gamilaraay rising star Loren Ryan.
"We have these out-of-date expectations of masculinity that create a stigma around men being vulnerable. This contributes to why men have high rates of suicide and don’t go to the doctor and lash out in destructive ways that damage those around us. None of us are perfect, nor are we complete; we’re works in progress and more complex than traditional markers of masculinity make room for. Our sadness, anger and insecurities can take hold but we can also lean in and work through them. This toxic patriarchal system harms everyone but we can help dismantle it even if we carry shame from our past behaviour. We can change. My new album tries to explore these ideas and that’s partly why it’s coming out in three parts, to reflect that we’re works in progress."
