Pompom Picnic as part of the Braemar House celebration at HUBBUB Springwood 2024.
There are a variety of ways you can become involved in Braemar Gallery and Hub Upstairs Gallery, from volunteering to exhibiting work. From time to time, the Braemar Gallery Management Committee also seeks expressions of interest for new members.

Seeking new volunteer member for Braemar House Reference Group
Are you our next volunteer Exhibition Coordinator?
We are calling for expressions of interest for a new member to join the Braemar House Reference Group which oversees the operation of Braemar Gallery.
The Reference Group is a volunteer group responsible for mounting and marketing exhibitions, collaborating with artists, supporting volunteers and engaging visitors.
We are seeking a new Exhibition Coordinator for a minimum two-year term. This passionate and committed individual will be part of the Exhibitions Team and work alongside two other Exhibitions Coordinators. They will work closely with the volunteer Marketing Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator to ensure the overall success of exhibitions. They will also collaborate with the Blue Mountains City Council’s Cultural Development Officer who supports the Reference Group.
Here is further information about how to submit an expression of interest, including the key responsibilities of the role and criteria to respond to.
Please email questions or expressions of interest to braemargallery@gmail.com with “Reference Group EOI” in the subject line by Friday 25 July.

Volunteer at Braemar Gallery
Join the team!
No experience is necessary, just an appreciation of art and an eagerness to greet visitors with a friendly smile and provide general information as required. Volunteer duties include opening and closing the gallery, keeping up to date with exhibitions, tracking visitor numbers, and carrying light weight external signage such as flags and A-frame signs. Volunteers also have the opportunity to exhibit in an annual exhibition and receive invitations to volunteer events. The Braemar House Reference Group is always happy to provide reference letters to our volunteers should it help with other pursuits.
Please read, complete and return a Volunteer Application Form to braemargallery@gmail.com and our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch with you soon. The form is available in Word format and PDF format. Hard copies are also available at the Volunteer Desk at Braemar Gallery.

Exhibition Program
Currently not accepting applications
Exhibiting at Braemar Gallery or the Hub Upstairs Gallery is a wonderful opportunity for Blue Mountains artists to share their work with the community. We usually run a four to six week open call around September each year for applications to exhibit the following year.
Please see below for the 2025 documents as an example of what we have asked as part of the process. These documents will be updated next year and a new application prepared.
