Blue Mountains Theatre presents Through the Lens of Tony Mott

Step into the electrifying world of rock and roll through the lens of legendary Australian photographer Tony Mott. With an unrivalled career capturing the raw energy and unguarded moments of music's biggest icons including Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, along with Australian artists like Peter Garrett, Michael Hutchence, Chrissy Amphlett, Jimmy Barnes, Tex Perkins and more.

Tony brings you backstage for an intimate look at the stories, secrets, and wild antics of rock and roll royalty. From the triumphs to the chaos, this event with stunning projections is a thrilling journey through the untold tales and unforgettable images that have defined an era of music history.

All captured by Tony and applied to covers of Illustrious magazines, TV, posters, record covers and more, Tony Mott is a rock and roll photographer to the stars. His mages have graced the covers and pages of Rolling Stone, NME, and hundreds of other music publications around the world.

The conversation includes Q & A with the audience and meet and greet with Tony after the show.

EXHIBITION - Framed in Sound - Selected works of Tony Mott

For over four decades Tony Mott has captured the raw energy and iconic moments of music legends making him Australia’s most celebrated rock and roll photographer. Mott was the photographer bands asked for and his portfolio features everyone from the Rolling Stones to members of the local independent band scene. From candid portraits to awe-inspiring live shots, Mott has a unique ability to connect with his subject.

Mott has had over 30,000 photographs published in 20 countries and his images have appeared on 400 posters and the covers of 500 CD's and more than 900 magazines. A selection of images from his career will be exhibited in the Hub foyer Tuesday 28 April – Sunday 3 May in the lead up to his show Through the Lens of Tony Mott.
