ABOUT SOUNDS OF OUR TOWNS MOUNTAINS GETDOWN

For the second successful year running, local up-and-coming bands will once again take the stage  with another all-ages gig curated by Sounds Of Our Towns in April 2023. 

Sounds of Our Towns Mountains Getdown is the first evolution from Sounds of Our Towns, from curated playlist platform to live event presentation in a professional venue.

These gigs are a celebration of the return of dancefloors and a reinvigoration of the live music scene.

Vol. 5 will feature:

Quoll is a local art-metal-band whose intention is to shine light on social, historical, and environmental matters. The story of Quoll begins when Ash Manning (guitar/voice/machines) and Isaac Beggs (drums) were introduced by a mutual friend and quickly bonded over exotic recipes and strange time signatures.

Club Halifax is a local indie pop/rock band that writes and performs up-tempo tunes to dance to, alongside some songs to confess sob stories and pained hearts. Taking their talent all over NSW, performing throughout Sydney and all the way over the hill. Expect powerful vocals, earworm lead lines, and groovy drums to be the highlights of the show (paired with enthralling dad-step shuffle dance moves). 

Deepsea Lights is duo Joseph Matthews and Gemma Lucy creating downbeat folk electronica and trip hop. Getting things out of their heads and into the world. They like to patchwork spoken word, soundscapes, and bass heavy electronic with rolling vocal melodies and earthy themes to make music that moves.
