Join us for a truly sciency Hub Picnic Day!
Catch the hilarious You are A Doughnut stage show - an exploration of every twisting tube and remarkable organ of the human body - bring a picnic, hang out at the Science Fair and join in the fun science-based activities and craft.

Picnic Days are a joint initiative from Springwood Library, Blue Mountains Theatre + Community Hub and the Springwood Neighbourhood Centre. Responding to the needs of our community, each school holiday a day will be selected for free family fun for the younger people in our lives.

Every picnic day is a little bit different, but you can count on the following

• Low stress, welcoming environment for families
• Free activities – these might be craft and/or games based
• Council staff to help guide play and share resources
• Tea and coffee station for the grown-ups

Blue Mountains Library will be hosting a Science Fair during the Hub Picnic Day!
Pairing with the Theatre's stage show, You are A Doughnut, the library will be focusing many of their science displays on the human body with gross facts, cool models, fabulous books and lots of resources.

BMCC Waterways & Community Teams will also be bringing awesome displays and craft

This is also a fantastic time to pick up new loans from the library.
Reading under the trees? Wonderful!

Bring along a picnic rug and lunch, and setup outside on the grass (or inside The Hub if the weather isn't great)

On some occasions a paid activity will be offered.
This may need registration due to limited numbers and details will become available closer to the event.

• Pizza Making with the Springwood Neighbourhood Centre (paid activity)
• Giant Cardboard Cubbys 
• Natural Creatures craft activity using found objects
