Hub Day Out
Families and young people across the Blue Mountains are invited to a free, creative celebration as Blue Mountains Theatre + Community Hub partners with Springwood Library to host Hub Day Out these school holidays.
This event pairs local community services with low-stress, engaging activities and live entertainment designed to keep curious minds inspired without breaking the bank.
Spanning The Hub’s ground floor and forecourt, the program features a variety of hands-on craft stations, including zine making, canvas bag decorating and badge making.
Attendees can also participate in the Great Book Swap, co-hosted by the library alongside community partners Belong Blue Mountains and Paint the Blue REaD. Guests are encouraged to bring a gold coin donation to swap up to five good-quality used children’s or young adult books, with all proceeds supporting the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF).
Adding to the festive atmosphere, local singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Billy Parsons will perform live during the event. Drawing from a blend of soul, R&B, rock and blues, Parsons captivates audiences with his highly emotive originals and diverse selection of covers.
Hub Day Out will be held on Wednesday 7 October from 11am to 2pm.
This is an all-weather event, so come along rain or shine.
