2025 In the Spotlight
2025 Theatre Program
BLUE MOUNTAINS THEATRE IS CELEBRATING 10 YEARS!
“Overture, curtains, lights; This is it, you’ll hit the heights and oh what heights we’ll hit… On with the show this is it!”
Help us continue our celebration of 10 years in 2025 with a HUGE party on Saturday the 16th of August at HUBBUB with local markets, music, performances, arts, crafts, and more.
In this special year, we bring you two of Australia’s critically acclaimed stage plays with the Ensemble Theatre production of The Queen’s Nanny and Echo Theatre’s production of God Of Carnage including a special Theatre Lovers ticket offer for our patrons.
The ever-popular James Valentine graces our stage with his latest show Upbeat Revue. Best known as the voice of Afternoons on ABC, James will bring his razor-sharp wit and radio mischief to audiences, backed by his powerhouse band for a night of music and comedy.
Much-loved Blue Mountains musician Jerrah Patston will be joining us to launch and perform his new album Abandoned Cricket Games along with a selection of fan favourites from his amazing career.
One of the mountain’s most successful and renowned artist exports The Spooky Men’s Chorale return to our stage with their moving and satirically funny harmonies and a cappella.
Also, as you may have guessed from the front cover, Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows are coming to town for one show only! The joy of live music, the excitement of watching great performers and the thrill of seeing Joe and that Black Sorrows’ magic is why we do what we do. Do not miss your chance to see these living legends.
The popular MANHATTAN SHORTS Film Festival will return in September for a special one-night global screening where you, the audience, get to view and judge the work of the next generation of filmmakers from around the world!
Blue Mountains Musical Society are back for a second time in 2025, with their production of the zany comedy musical Legally Blonde.
Blue Mountains Concert Society continue their exquisite fine music program with performances from The Australian Tenors, The Orava Quartet and Ian Cooper’s Afternoon at The Proms Spectacular.
And we have PLENTY for kids (and the young at heart) too, starting with You Are A Doughnut – a biological-musical-comedy-adventure!
Looking for something more gentle? Imagine Live will help us celebrate with the most beautiful show about creativity, friendship and our precious natural world, based on the wonderful children’s book by Alison Lester.
All of this and so much more – from swing, blues and strings to opera, comedy and loads of bling!
